About SmartServe Prep

SmartServe Prep is a free study tool for anyone preparing for the Ontario SmartServe certification exam. We provide 551 realistic practice questions covering all 10 topics on the official exam.

What is SmartServe?

SmartServe is Ontario's mandatory server training certification program administered by the AGCO (Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario). Anyone who serves, delivers, or sells alcohol in Ontario must complete SmartServe training. The certification covers responsible alcohol service, Ontario liquor laws under the LLCA 2019, signs of intoxication, and server liability.

When you are ready to take the official SmartServe exam:

  • You need a webcam-enabled computer and a quiet environment
  • The exam is approximately 30 questions with a 45-minute time limit
  • You need 80% to pass; results are provided immediately
  • Upon passing, your SmartServe certificate is valid for 5 years
