Reporting an error in a question

Ontario's alcohol-service rules change — the Liquor Licence and Control Act, 2019 replaced the previous framework, cannabis co-consumption guidance has been revised, and alcohol retail in the province has expanded substantially. If a question, answer or explanation looks out of date or wrong, tell us and include the question text plus what you believe the correct position is. We check every report against the AGCO's published guidance or Smart Serve's own course material and correct the bank where the report holds up.

The button opens an email to the same address with the subject filled in. Corrections that hold up are listed in the change log on our editorial policy page.

What we cannot help with

  • We cannot look up, reissue or verify your official Smart Serve certificate — only Smart Serve Ontario can, through your account at smartserve.ca.
  • We cannot tell you whether a specific employer will accept a certification from another province. Ask the employer, or the AGCO.
  • We cannot give legal advice about a liability question or an AGCO enforcement matter. Speak to a lawyer.
  • We do not sell or administer the official course and receive nothing from Smart Serve Ontario.

Who runs this site
